Frequently asked questions

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an effective method of treatment that has helped countless people worldwide with a wide range of ailments, from pain relief to improving mood and overall health. Typically it involves using fine medical grade needles which are inserted around specific points on the body which are stimulated to cause a physiological change.

How does acupuncture work?

Medical grade needles are used stimulate the release of the bodies' endogenous opioids, this provides strong pain relief, relaxation and helps to return the body to homeostasis.

Are there any side effects of acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a natural, drug-free treatment with very few side effects. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture can help to relieve pain, anxiety and other ailments. It is a safe, non-invasive alternative to conventional medicine.

How many acupuncture treatments will I need?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to how many acupuncture treatments will be necessary for a given condition. This is because many factors are involved, such as how long the problem has existed, the patient's overall condition, diet, and lifestyle. Some problems respond to a few treatments, while others may require more treatments over a period of months. I would treat neurological conditions at least twice a week until the symptoms improved.

What are the benefits of acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been shown to be an effective form of pain relief, mood enhancement, and overall health improvement. If you wish to see evidence based samples of research please contact myself directly.

How much does acupuncture cost?

There are many factors influencing the cost of acupuncture. Acupuncturists recommend various types of treatment, each with its own price tag. The first factor to consider is the type of acupuncture desired I will identify the best acupuncture available to treat your conditions and price according to this..
